If you have paid, do you get chips if you win a WSOP supersatellite?

I heard they give you chips if you win a WSOP supersatellite at the Rio and you are already entered. I have signed up for the ME paying cash, so I wanted to be sure before entering.

That's how it was last year (if by chips you mean the tournament entry only chips)

yes, if you win you register immediately after the satellite and they give you your seat ticket.

Can't you just get your original buy-in refunded?

I know several years ago, if you had proof of a seat, you were awarded cash for winning the satellites.
