What Do You Do On A Typical Day?

18 year old guy waiting to start college in September

11AM - Wake Up, Brush Teeth, Eat/Bio Etc
12PM - Look over key hands from the day before in PT
1PM - Find a couple valuable poker articles/videos
2PM - Reading valuable 2p2 deteriorates into OOT
3PM - Small Meal/Snack, Start Seshing
4-10PM - Beat uNL for a bazillion ptbb/100
11PM - Browse over session and make mental notes for hands to review next morning
12AM - Realize that I'm risking burnout by doing this everyday but don't really see any symptoms
1AM - TV/Movie/VideoGame/2p2
3AM - Sleep

I don't put in the whole six hours everyday, but it varies within that time slot. I find that reviewing hands the next day gives me a fresh perspective on what I did right/wrong.

2am-get home, shower
2:30am-smoke a j, watch a movie
4:30am- sleep

weekends involves no work and a [censored] load of smoking or drinking and clubbing

yo lets be friends. This is a perfect day for me - the trumpet and probably only 2 hours piano a day, + i cook all my meals so the whole 'going to the farmers market to select a fresh looking grapefruit specimen', etc. And intermittent learning of the guitar.

I am 25 and have a full time job and my day very closely resembles J-Mac's. I am not jealous of any you 23+ year olds who are out of school and playing poker as your sole source of income. I do have a question however, specifically for people like Ron Burgundy. You make $2500/month on avg playing 100NL which is $30,000 a year. Sweet! Even if this is enough to pay for you to live on your own in Texas (I live in NY so this would barely cover rent+ food+ commute after taxes) are you planning to hopefully live off of $30k the rest of your life? Do you think the fact that you have no job is going to hurt your future when $30k is just not enough money. Do you ever plan to buy a house? Do you have any life goals or is your plan to just live day by day in your Mom's house?

10:00 or so wake up ( I'm 35 by the way ) Turn computer on first thing. Go to fridge. Get two liter of diet pepsi (that's my substitute for coffee).

10:05 Tune in to WEEI and WFAN to listen to some baseball
talk online. Surf the net a bit (check on fantasy team)

10:30 crank up WEEI as high as I can get it on my laptop.
Bring laptop into bathroom so I can hear it while
taking a shower.

11:00 Play poker for hour and a half or so.
12:30 Call local store and order food for pickup.
1:00 Out the door, take dog with me, pick up food and
Boston Herald. Go to local little league fields
about a mile away. Crank up WEEI on truck radio,
listen to more baseball talk. Throw ball around
with dog, run around , play with him etc. When he gets tired I just chill in one of the dugouts, read the herald and relax a bit.

2:00 Put dog in truck. Drive back home. Now time for
some serious poker. Play poker for four hours or so downstairs on main computer. (much better for multitabling).

6:00 get hungry, either make food at home or order out
from local restaurant. Stop playing poker downstairs. "Travel" lol, upstairs to living room and couch and set up laptop again to play more poker while watching sox pregame. Play poker for first three innings or so.

8:00 quit playing poker till later on that night. wind down.

8:30 fiancee gets home from work. I put computer away for two hours till she goes to sleep. Hang out with her in bedroom. Watch some t.v. etc. She works 3 twelve hour shifts , so she is awake after getting home for maybe hour and half at most.

10:00 When she falls asleep. I get up, do donwstairs again and multitable some more until around 2:00 a.m. , sometimes 3;00 or 4:00.

3:00 or 4:00 go to bed.

Sleep 4:00 to 10:00. Get up and ground hog day it all over again.

7:00 - get out of bed (i'm not a snoozer)
7:00-8:00 - poker/check stocks/random internet stuff depends on what needs to be done or what i feel like
8:00 - get back into bed to wake up my wife and snooze a few times (my wife is a snoozer)
8:20ish - finally get up and prepare breakfast while wife takes shower
8:45 - get myself into shower/bath
9:00-9:25 - usually 2p2
9:25-10:15 - walk to the train station, take train to work, read a book or watch movie or episodes on psp
10:15-18:45 - work (programmer), lunch break, irc, the web & 2p2 in between
18:45-19:30 - return home
19:30-20:00 - dinner with wife
20:00-20:30 - doing the dishes and/or some other random stuff around the house that needs attention
20:30-21:30 - usually watch some tv if there's anything of interest
21:30-23:30 - internet/2p2/poker/stocks
some time between 23:30 and 24:00 back to bed.

Not a very exciting life. But I guess pretty typical for most working people in most regards.

I did this my first year outta school. Sleep deprivation will catch up to you. Get sleep, work out, become richer than your roomies.
