Re: standard (?) bluff in 3bet pot
Bet flop! Don't reraise an UTG tag opener without big hands. As played I can go either way on this... I'd say he has like JJ or QQ with a club, and might call your river bet just because your story doesn't COMPLETELY add up if he can make some thin calldowns.

i dont understand on this board why you dont bet 110ish flop & then put him in on the turn? [/ QUOTE ] The reason why jfish bluffed the turn was because it came a good bluff card which is the King. On the flop he has alot of equity but at the same time he's going to get c/r with a wide range of hands since ur_an_assett is UTG. |

Re: standard (?) bluff in 3bet pot
Me likely.
Betting the flop kinda sucks cuz you have to call checking back gives you a lot of possibilities on the turn. Turn: Obv River: Your hand looks just like AK, and he can easily have worse or be drawing |

Re: standard (?) bluff in 3bet pot
awesome, a hand about me. I called river here w/ QQ (w/ Qc). I didn't shove preflop because there's no way this player is calling with less. As for the river, nothing made sense to me at all as to what he was representing. After seeing his hand, I thought his flop check was expert.

Don't quite get your reasoning that nothing made sense. You expect him to bet flop 100% with AK? I think I'd play AK like this a lot vs an UTG raiser. |
