Default Re: TheBryce (Freedom25) 1k/2k HU Bankroll Qestion?

My liquid bankroll is a few notches shy of a million. The thing with 500/1000 and 1K/2K is that these are silly limits, with 500/1000 being 2.5 times larger than the next smallest limit (which in my mind is 200/400). Very, very rarely do I get action at these limits (given that I'm picky about who I play here), so if all I'm concerned with is keeping 400k or so on hand for 200/400 I certainly don't mind setting aside 100k or 200k for a shot at a yellow-chip game if I think I'm getting the money in in a good spot.

Seems like a fine stategy for these limits are taking shots at any limits for that matter as long you can actually stick to your stop less, which can be tough for many people who are great players, but don't have as much emotional control. As far as having this as a game you play semi-regularly, i am with Kah and would want a MINIMUM of 2 Mil. liqudid play. FWIW, i have had a 600 BB downswing in 2 days at limits where i was up about 1,000 bets in the previous month. (It's obviously debatable how much of this could have been bad play, but even if i conceded to lighting 100 bets on fire which i think is WAAAY extreme it's bothersome)

Also at playing people with the roll for these limits generally means they should be pretty elite unless you happen to match up super well against their style, and you should expect to be playing with a much smaller edge... variance in these types od games is through the [censored] roof.
