countdown till busto. Those are usualy the players I try to find when doing table selection

Your right tho, Maniacs often build huge stacks in shorterm, when running hot and against oponents who don't know how to adjust to their strategy (what strategy ?).

about a month ago I was at a 50NL table and was down 200$ in 2 hands. The maniac stayed there another 2 hours and I left +200$ all from Maniac. Just stick to your ABC style. On the other hand, it shows why aggression is so important in poker ?

I've seen him play one session where he went from $50 to $200 in the space of an hour then 10 minutes he crashed back to $50, 60 minutes later he's back up to $300...Crazy variance. But $100 to $700 in the space of a week? Is there method to his madness?

[/ QUOTE ]

I have variance like that and i dont run anywhere close to maniac. But obv when you play looser your gona have greater variance. LOL and 100-700 isnt at 50NL is even spectacular, seems pretty normal to me unless it was 1 sesh or somethin.

But from the sounds of it your bud is runing hot and will probably go busto makin retarded raises like you have said. But tbh playin TAG or LAG can both be profitble all depends on how you play post flop. But playin ABC tag is easyer and will put you in less marginal spots. Maniac might seem cooler or somethin but playin sooo many hands your gona get in really tough spots which obv uneccessary and can easily be avioded.

Really? People earn this much money at 50NL? He only plays 1 table at a time btw, maybe for 1-2 hours per day so i was pretty impressed. He's my bud so i cannot share his screenname lol
