\"Current\" going through external monitor
I have a Samsung 20" monitor hooked up to my laptop. When it is on, there is a "current" thing that goes through the monitor. It looks like a wave of some sorts that goes from the bottom of the monitor, to the top. I have speakers that are on that are next to it, which may be the reason...Is there any other reason why this new monitor would do this?

Re: \"Current\" going through external monitor
Speakers could cause it because they are essentially just electromagnets. A cell phone could cause it. Most likely it is a defective monitor. Try a new monitor cable once you move all electrical equipment away from the monitor.

Flat panel monitor?
Check your refresh rate... for panels it should be set to 60Hz. |

Re: \"Current\" going through external monitor
Make sure the refresh is set to what the monitor is supposed to work at. If it is, its a bad monitor. LCD's simply do not do this like CRT's do.
