This hand happened a couple of weeks ago at the Borgata casino in Atlantic City. It was about 2am on a weeknight with a couple of live ones at my table. 1/2 blinds.
Reads: Villain has recently went on a huge rush turning 50 dollars into over 500. He has been playing really poorly often calling big bets with what he believes is the worst hand. Our past is limited to one hand where on a Q3x board he pushed all in with 3,4 for 20 more over my bet of 30 while I had TT. Anyway, cliffnotes, I believe he is capable of paying off huge if I hit a hand against him. Oh I forgot, I have a TAG image at this table. Hero's Stack: 350 Villain's Stack: 500 Preflop: Villain makes it $12 to go in EP, Hero calls in hijack with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]j [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Pot($25) Villain bets $10, Hero thinks for 30 seconds and makes it $30. Villain snap-calls. At this point I put villain on a range of AJ, TT+. Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Pot($85) Villain Checks, Hero bets a $100 stack smoothly, Villain once again snap-calls. I revise my read here. I believe that he either has AA or KK. I think he would have made a checkraise with a set. But maybe I'm off base. River: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Pot($285) Villain Checks, Hero has about $210 left. Check Behind, Bet, Open Fold? What is a good play here? |
