BB w QQ,crazy preflop action at loose table
Don't think I've ever been in a situation like this before....
$10 Stars 3 table tourney Blinds 15/30,Seat 3 is button Seat 1: (1370 in chips) Seat 2: (1630 in chips) Seat 3: (1440 in chips) Seat 4: (1000 in chips) Seat 5: (1470 in chips) Seat 6: (410 in chips) Seat 7: (2500 in chips) Seat 8: (2130 in chips) Seat 9: (1550 in chips) Seat 6 : raises 380 to 410 and is all-in Seat 7: calls 410 Seat 8: calls 410 2 folds Seat 2: calls 410 2 folds I'm in seat 5,BB w QQ So,original raiser might be tilting really bad, lost the previous hand w a set to a flush, his preflop raise was called by a J4s who went on to turn the flush. Except for that the table seems superloose in general,I have no specific reads on any of the players involved in this hand. So what do I do?? Honestly felt like I had 2 options. My feeling is that OR doesn't need to have much of a hand,so all the callers are the ones that worry me. I figure call and re-evaluate after flop,or push. Problem w option 1 is that I'm OOP and if an overcard comes, then what do I do? Option 2,I feel that I only get called by AA KK or AK,maybe JJ. That's fine if no-one has those hands, but OR got 2 callers to his immediate left, and that is cause for concern surely? I never considered folding here, but should that be an option? Not that experienced in tourneys like this, for all I know this might be common, but like I said,I've never seen anything like it. |

Re: BB w QQ,crazy preflop action at loose table
Yeah, definite shove, at least 1 will fold, you are almost certainly well ahead of original raiser, so plenty of +EV in the pot already to balance out chance of AA and KK, and your read of the table said they were loose, so reduced chance of AA and KK.
In this situation the first caller might have AA or KK, but i'd be very surpised if caller 2 and 3 do, a they porbably would have rasied. Shove, shove all day and everyday. |

Re: BB w QQ,crazy preflop action at loose table
You're probably posting this because somebody had AA or KK.
If somebody has AA or KK in this hand, anybody with QQ goes broke here. Just jam all-in. |

I would be very surprised to see someone flat call with AA or KK here. I shove.

Re: BB w QQ,crazy preflop action at loose table
shove and don't second guess...the calls usually set off a chanin reaction but no one wants to chance being against a real hand so they usually fold...also underpairs may call hoping for a race or putting you on a squeeze

Try thinking about what these players are calling with and assess just how probable it is that AK / AA / KK smooth calls here, especially after the first caller.
