Default Rack Attack Hand w/KTo from mid-early position

Background: I was playing 1/3 NLHE at Sycuan in San Diego and every hour the poker room picks a table and drops $100 into the pot before the next hand. At 1/3 NL, they turn the game into a 5/10 HE game for just that hand. I actually have a couple of questions about this hand.

1. Is any hand playable from any position since there is essentially a dead $100 in the pot?

2. Did I play this hand correctly?

Preflop: I get KTo UTG+2. I limp, as does everyone except for the button who raises. Everyone calls. Pot is now $280.

Flop: J96, rainbow. Everyone checks. Should I have bet my gutshot and over for value? Pot still 280.

Turn: 7. SB bets, everyone in front of me calls and I raise. All but 3 people call. Pot is now 400.

River: 2. Everyone checks and the SB turns over QJ and takes down the pot.
