Default How do I adjust to this home game?

I play on the internet, mostly caszh games, but occasionally sit an go's. I play the super nano-micro limits on stars and I buy in for two bucks. That gives me 100 BB and I play an aggressive game.

A buddy of mine just introduced me to a home game where they play a weekly $5 NLHE tournament with rebuys up to the first hour.

They begin with 50 chips and the blinds at 1-2. Instead of using a timer to set the blinds they raise them when the first person gets eliminated. So if someone gets eliminated before you play a hand now all of a sudden the ante is huge and I have 7 rounds left.

I like to make small raises with hands like 10 8 suited online(with a big stack), but I'm not going to do it without any money behind me. What is the best way to adjust to this kind of game?

1. find a better game if you want to play seriously. Starting out with 25 BB is ridiculous, and the raising every time someone gets knocked out makes it an absolute crap shoot. This is an awful setup.

2. Ignore the above, go in knowing that it is $5, and have a ball. Yuck it up, drink, crack jokes, have fun. Who cares, its just $5...$10 if you rebuy.

3. If you still want to try to come up with a strategy, play the LAG maniac. Push in any time somebody raises preflop. try to accumulate chips and bust as many people you can as fast as possible....then rebuy when you lose and do it again. Unless you get lucky and hit a monster early on with somebody betting in to you, I cant really think of another way to cut down on the luck factor with such a crappy setup.
