Re: PSP vs DS
I have both and 8 times out of ten when I want to use one of them, I end up playing Lumines on the PSP. I'd seriously go play that game and then decide. BTW, its far far better on the PSP than on xbox live. Plus isn't the PSP only like $50 more now?

Re: PSP vs DS
I don't have a PSP, but I couldn't possibly imagine a game more fun than Elite Beat Agents (and the Japanese versions Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! 1 and 2) on the DS.

Re: PSP vs DS
Considering FF was the first game mentioned in your post I'd go with a DS. The PSP scored a FF remake but most of the new / original square enix titles are hitting the DS. That FFXII sequel, the FFXIII titles and DQ9 for example.
If you're looking at doing homebrew at all. I think the DS is easier to "hack" but the PSP is certainly more powerful and has the better emu's. Other then that it's more a question of what kind of titles you want to play. Nintendo type stuff like New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart or Playstation type stuff like GTA and whatnot. |

Some good strategy titles for the PSP too: Field Commander 2 x MGA Acid D&D Tactics Loads of RPG's I think the PSP is finally moving away from the early days of just Driving / Racing games [/ QUOTE ] What are these loads of RPG's that you speak of? I thank everyone for opinions, and I think in the long run i'm going to end up having to get both systems. I'm leaning towards the PSP right now because I am really really really wanting to play FF 1 and 2 and those were recently released on PSP. however, after that I'll have to switch to DS and start going through the older FF games. Also, anyone know off hand if the PSP/DS can be hooked to a TV and played with some AV cables? I know you can play GBA games through the gamecube if you get the adapter which is something i'm looking into as well. |
