Re: curious flop situation with top set
T T uno card maybe...but I tried to post raise to $120 and snap call shove with double fist pump before my connection timed out and now I got to the party late.
Edit: since he's so deep maybe you can slowroll sometimes and tilt him. Not sure if thats better than instacall with fist pumps though. |

Phresh - how would your line change if villain were 40/2/0.5 or 10/5/3? [/ QUOTE ] Over less that 100 hands? None of these would phase me much, though I may be more cautious of the 40/2/0.5 guy. [ QUOTE ] What would be your line if villain reraised all in? [/ QUOTE ] I get it in here. You've got outs against the two hands that beat you. You're slightly ahead of flushdraws and combodraws. And you crush overpairs and sets. I'm comfortable getting the money in the middle here, even 150BB deep. |

T8, 88, 77, 78, 78, etc. all come along. If he has J9, I don't give a [censored], I'll probably fill up anyway cause I rule. |

Re: curious flop situation with top set
since this is a totally uninteresting hand, i'll just nitpick on something no one has mentioned:
Go with the $8 raise in early position preflop. It definitely makes a positive difference. |

this is an uber easy call with all the draws out there and he may even have a lower set. Also you're getting easily the odds to go for a boat calling $200 to win $660. [/ QUOTE ] Easy call. What is the problem here? Am I missing something? Even if villain has made a straight on the flop, the pot odds justify the call for your full house draw. If the board fails to pair on turn or river, oh well, just rebuy and start over again. Villain could also be playing this way with a smaller set. Therefore, you are either ahead or behind in this hand. What was the result? |
