what do you bet on the river?

I'd bet 2.50 and hope to get paid off. Its gonna be tough to get paid here. Just throw out a value bet and hope he's got a straight or like A 10.

I might sohve hoping villian rivered the straight. The argument against this is that he folds AT. If you bet pot he prob calls with a hand like AT and may raise with a straight allwowing you to 3bet allin with your boat. Yeah bassically just changes my mind. I bet pot.

shove. I'm willing to sacrfice the $2+ I make on a vb for the times he calls this with a rivered straight.

I agree with robin on the hoping that he has a straight arguement.... If he was chasing a gutshot and finally makes his hand on the river, I think hes gona raise a pot sized bet. There is no detrement to making that bet, if he has a straight you get paid, if he has an A 10 or something and he would have folded to an all in, he calls your value bet. Don't over bet the pot, just get your value.

BTW, forgot to mention there is a good chapter in NLTHAP which deals in betting the nuts (or pretty close to is) on the river. Worth reading.
