Villain is nuts. He's running 55/10/2. I wanted to c/c the river, but this is a tough spot, and we are kind of deep, so it makes it a tough decision. Thoughts?
I have 2 hands of history I have seen with him showing down: The very hand before this, I had 79s and raised from the CO. Villain called from the blind. The flop was 5-7-9, villain check/called $7. Turn was a Q, villain check/called $17. River was a 3, villain check/called $40 and showed AJo for A-high. There was another hand before where villain called a preflop raise in position. He then raised on the flop of 2-3-9 on the flop big, bet out on a turn of a J, and pushed on a river 8, and showed 3-8 for the rivered 2 pair. With the read that he is nuts I call here. [/ QUOTE ] Do you want to elaborate more on that? I have to put in $140 more. I've only invested about 1/4 of my stack so far, so I can get away relatively easy. Also, there is a lot on this board that beats me, so it's not like I have top 2 on a dry, rainbow board. What range do you put him on that he'd play like this? |

Without the stupid 6 on the board it's a trivially easy call, ldo. With it... the fact that he merely called in the AJ hand and shoved the 2 pr hand makes me think 6. The stack sizes are kinda goofy for a bet/fold line... Hm. I'd probably give it up here and wait for something a little better. There are no other stacks at the table that can dent him, so you should have some time.

In your desciption of villian in the two hands above, when he made his two pair on the river he shoved... what would keep him from shoving the flush here?

I would call here with $140 more, if it's $200 more, I might fold
since you have the Ace of club, he can't have Ax club in the hand, it's possible that he's on a diamond flush draw that missed there are a lot of hands that beat you, of which, I think 6x is most likely. Other hands that beat you: Qs (probably 3 bet preflop) 5s (that's pretty crazy to play this way on flop and turn, he's nuts, but still unlikely) club flush (you have A club, and no str8 draw on flop, so he had to call you with just runner runner flush draw, unlikely even for idiots with Ace on board against a PF raiser) and plenty of hands that you can beat from air to pp like 8s-Ts, and Ax hands |

if hes ridiculous isn't he shoving a10+ or 65+, the problem is if hes so bad and holds ax i'm thinking he sees that ace and instareraises, as every ace is the nuts, so here i really tend to think 65 or 67, something connected suited that he called and hit his hand so i fold

that min-raise on the turn doesn't look like a bluff to me, looks like hes looking to get paid off for being a moron so don't let him
