First hand, nh. 2nd hand I'd raise more preflop (to about $14-$16), since you're OOP for the rest of the hand. Otherwise also well played.

I like the 2nd hand much better than the first, as it's clearly obvious you can't fold hand 2 in a 3 bet pot.
However, I don't like the first hand as your default play (which it's kind of starting to look like). Villain in hand 1 obviously likes to see cards turn over, so it's very likely you can get 3 streets of value from him with a simple 2/3 PSB. I would think you're pushing out hands you beat with that turn shove. |

[/ QUOTE ] But in the first hand the short stack has only about $37 left by the turn - if you bet 2/3 pot or about $25 or so, you're essentially putting him in - there's no way you get away for another $12 on the river. |
