Why not trying a check/raise on the flop if he always bet to a check ?

It seems you played it well, but i agree w/ Suwalski, why build a big pot w/ 99, you could find a better spot. you took it down, i'm sure

This isn't really merging because he rarely has worse that plans to call a c/r, exception being a FD. Also, this isn't a spot where most will bluff c/r the turn, so your chances of gettng a loose call are less.
