MP is a loose passive fish that calls with any two suited cards or any peice of the board, BTN (20/9/1) has been pretty nitty and I do not recall him calling any of my cbets, and has genarally stayed out of my way.
Looking back at this hand I am thinking my bet sizes should have been more like $6/$18 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Button ($50.90) SB ($41.60) BB ($40.80) UTG ($44.75) MP ($121.45) Hero ($50) Preflop: Hero is CO with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.5, Button calls $2.50, 2 folds, MP calls $2. why not. your obviously ahead and u might get a call out of the missed club draw if it hit the ace.

Perhaps you care to explain how it so obvious?

Meh despite the fact that you're usually ahead I think you should check. There isn't much value in a bet here. You could be outkicked(not likely)/he could have the flush/and the ace is likely a scare card for him that will make hands like QQ-TT not call the river because if you fire the river you obviously have them beat. So try to induce what you hope is a bluff.

I don't really see how it's obvious either.
If he's been playing like a nit, then I doubt he'd be calling an approx PSB on the turn with a flush draw. I'd be worried about kicker trouble here. Maybe check-call depending on his bet size. To me a V bet here doesn't seem right. I don't see him calling with anything less than a K, and he may have a better kicker. If he doesn't have a K, his AF seems to suggest that he won't bluff in which case you'll win anyways. If he bets out in the 15-20 range I'd call. |

he woulda raised at some point with a set or a higher K in most cases. and i cant think of any hand that would call flop that would river the flush. SO in almost all cases your ahead but i do like the idea of inducing the bluff. now that ive given it more thought c/c is the bes way to go on river.

just c/c, the reasons for that are obvious though

If this guy is a calling station, value bet your hand.
If you think he's capable of folding on the river to a value bet, check/call. |
