why did you just call the turn?

He made the raise pretty quick, so I figured it was a monster or a bluff. If he's bluffing, no way he's calling a shove. If he's calling a shove on the turn, he's probably calling one on the river. If he has a straight, then I draw for cheap.

I basically never pot the flop HU

[/ QUOTE ]

how the [censored] do you ever build a pot?

i always size my bets a little bigger HU than multiway, just so that when i actually hit a hand (like this hand) it's not a huge pain in the ass to get my stack all in

oh yeah, and keep raising turn, lotta value vs. many two pair even if he occasionally has a straight (which you can outdraw now, but not once you get to the river)

I'm usually 3/4 potting my flops. I guess there's not much difference to an opponent whether I 3/4 or full. I'm starting to realize that every extra dollar that goes into the flop can be worth up to four times as much by the river.

Look at the board again. He has to be out his mind to cr small bluff on a connected broadway board vs preflop raiser.

I shove turn here, I think he calls with worse, KQ,KJ,QJ,55. He might call off with a FD too.

As played I don't mind the river fold, his hand looks a lot like T9, maybe KT.

Jeeezzz you put yourself into a mess here.

HAVE TO GET IT IN ON THIS TURN. I think it is the only play actually. You are only beat by 109 here and he has KQ THE MAJORITY OF THE TIMES.

I would really consider calling the river as played, but I would feel sick even to have to make that decision.

Blech, my gut feeling said he turned a straight. He showed T9 after I folded. I hate being results oriented.
