they are, same goes for prostitution, most clubs aswell ... bars usually 16+ but i guess from a tourist POV i'd think amsterdam is way less fun if ur not 18 yet

Just ask your friend to buy the weed, and smoke it somewhere in the park. I guess 17 isn't really a problem if you want to get in to the bars/clubs, but of course it depends on how old you look [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img].

You'll easily get weed in the coffeeshops in amsterdam, they hardly ever check ID

Being under 18 in Amsterdam shouldn't be to big of a problem. It's not like for example being in Vegas when you're under 21 and get asked for your ID all the time.

If you plan to go to a coffeeshop, don't go to the big tourist places like The Bulldog.
