UTG+1 nit cold calls
Folds to villan who 3 bets.
Blinds fold, I cap.
Call, Call 3 to flop

Yes you are in trouble with AK here. A preflop threebettor and a highly coordinated board for a threebet. Whats the worst of his threebetting range? AK, AQ, 99+....you are only ahead of AQ....

Just because he has been coming in with marginal holdings doesn't mean he is threebetting with them (which he might be, but in most cases, a player like this is cold calling with crap). You should have been worried on the flop, and now, you should run away and not give it a second thought.

Going to the turn you are heads up and OOP vs a guy who may be a little maniacal. I get the sense that he may be playing the player rather than playing the cards. But maybe I'm wrong about that. Anyhow, the 9 falls. You may be "in trouble" but you aren't dead yet.

I think I'd have check-called the turn since your TPTK has maybe just become a draw. At this point you want to see that river card as cheaply as possible, and go from there. Against this guy I would think TP is a ticket to the river, and you are going to c/c to showdown even if a dud falls on the river. Plus you have outs for the straight, and a King or an Ace might be helpful too.
