the guy that bet 1k folded T9o face-up (which was very poor etiquette, it gave way too much info). i folded, button thought for a very long time and folded 7d2d face-up. bb showed one card, 8d.

I assume you mean the SB? - aren't you on a button straddle here?

Clearly, if people are limp-calling $300 with 7d2d, there's no way you can fold to the original $1k flop bet.
