finding a moving company in NYC

my girlfriend and i are trying to find companies to move all of our stuff to our new apartment ( we live in queens, apartment is in brooklyn ), it seems like most of the companies make you request for them to call/email you back. is this a normal thing? also, if they do respond, if we need all of our stuff to be moved on sunday is today or tomorrow too short of a notice?
