I've never played there, but I heard its a rock garden.

The Hard Rock has more top players but also more fish. There are a decent amount of good players at Seminole. I do really well in the SNG's there.

The Seminole Casino, by the way, is just up the street from the Hard Rock, a few blocks south on State Road 7 (also known as US 441).

[/ QUOTE ]

You play there fishy?

[/ QUOTE ]

On occasion. But I don't play holdem, I play 7 Card Stud.

Check out to see if they have any cruise boats that go into international waters. I know there are some up here in Jax and the NL games are very juicy but I'm not sure if they have any down there. The thing that sucks about them though is that you're stuck on the boat for 5 hours and you only get about 3 hours of play time in because you have to wait to get out to international waters before you can gamble and have to stop gambling when the boat comes back in. Even with that huge pain in the ass it's the only live play I get here in Jax because I can't stand to play the $2 poker...

Not joking. Someone told me that, but it was a while ago. I've never even seen the place. I guess its close to the Hard Rock. Whoever it was said just some old locals place there. This was a while ago and might have changed. Are the games looser? Better than Hard Rock?

I would never describe any game there as a rock garden -- not by any stretch of the imagination. Are they tighter than at the Hard Rock? Generally no. Maybe a fraction of a degree. But at the Hard Rock at the Seminole and all the other public rooms here, games range from loose-passive to maniacal. There's no such thing as a tight table.

The players at the Hollywood Hard Rock are as bad at poker as you can find anywhere.

Unfortunately the FL state law has a $2 max bet so the pathetic proclivities of the players is permeated into petrified puke because of the intolerable low maximum bet and the rake is $6.

The best poker in Florida is here. Online.

Just so you know, what I am referring to are the SNG's and MTT's only. I don't waste my time playing $2 ring tables.

I only go there to play SNGs and sometimes MTTs. I love the tables where no one will raise pre-flop and will only bet the flop if they hit.
