I don't mind the raise to 45 if you think he is drawing and want to give him improper odds. But if you make that raise to commit yourself I would think that it is doing it for the wrong reasons

the raise is designed to protect my hand. if it looks like im commited at that point villain isnt getting the correct odds to call knowing that the rest is goin in on the turn had it not been a scare card.

and at this point in the hand i dont mind giving away the strength of my hand. there is enough money in the pot to isolate and get it heads up.

i just dont know if i shoulda shoved instead. but shoving just seemed so wrong had i been getting trapped by sb's set or 2 pair.
