Default Forming a poker club in SW Ohio

After talking with some friends about the poker scene, we decided to start up a poker club to have good live games with no rake (legal - no underground games for us). The goal is a ten-table room. The only fees will be small membership fees to offset the overhead...no profit for anyone except winners!

If you're in SW ohio, http://daytonpokerleague.com

We have plans in place for security and to ensure legality. Also to attract lots of fish

Constructive criticism welcome, seriously.

retarded. You're going to spend about 2500 if you build your own tables. You'll need like 5000 chips. and You don't want to take a rake?

Way to empty your pockets.

well, if you are thinking about doing this, what are the plans to re-cover start up costs. Members likely wouldn't care much about a $10-20 'membership' fee/month, but they aren't going to likely be that interested in chipping in for custom chips, cards, tables, security (cameras?), etc.

Refreshment plans? at cost, byob??
Dealer plans?
Location?

I mean it's a decent idea, just difficult to actually put in action. How often are you going to have games? nightly? Put up a business plan if you want constructive criticism. As of right now, you have a pipedream.

Thanks, that was constructive criticism. A lot of these things have been discussed, but you've made me see some things that need to be added to the posted plan. It's nice to see what kind of questions people would have. I won't be adding any updates to those forums for 2-3 days (traveling), but very nice feedback regardless.

Start up costs will partially come from an angel who will be paid back, without interest, over time from cover charges or memberships.
