Re: PLO $100
this is a fine play preflop but the flop is a massive amazingly huge leak. there's no need in omaha to ever get your money in this badly.

Re: PLO $100
[ QUOTE ]
I am check raising here trying to get as much money into the pot as possible because I think I have the best hand a good amount of the time when I tried to put him on a range. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know if it will help or not but I sometimes find it a useful exercise when analysing to ask myself what sort of range he has here: A. After he raises preflop B. After he c-bets C. After he 3-bets your check/raise It might seem like an arbitrary or pointless thing to do, but it's good to consciously think about these sorts of things after you've played and away from the table so you can make a habit of it and do it really quickly in real time when you have to make a decision. If you can't find that you can narrow his range down after you go through these steps, you're either against a very solid opponent who mixes up their play and is quite aggressive, you don't have enough information on this player yet or you're not paying enough attention and thinking enough about this at the tables, in which case you'll have learnt something about your own game as well as his. Edit: To simply put these situations of flopped nuts over 2nd nuts down to a cooler is a massive leak. It is a reasonably common situation in Omaha, far more than Hold'em, so you have to learn to identify this. |
