Karl/Purdue,

Why don't either of you move up past $200 NL? Just the security of knowing you can beat up the game for a decent win rate without having to mess with very tough opposition? I'm sure you guys could beat higher limits.

That is pretty much exactly why I haven't moved up yet. I will eventually, I am just very comfortable with where I am at right now.

BP could easily beat 2/4 ImO.

Hello friend:

I will try to contribute if I can. Though, my strengths are not really hand strategy. I try to survive through other primitive means. But I will try to pop in once in awhile to say something if it may be pertinent.

I perceive my strengths to be game selection, table image management, tilt control, and work ethic.

Though we never really know ourselves very well.... Do we?

I'm in the same boat about moving up. I can beat the 200NL ring games for a pretty decent amount, and I'm perfectly happy in doing so. It's pretty sick how much money a winning player can make 10-tabling 200NL, so why mess with a good thing? There's only a handful of 2/4 games running at any given time, which are filled with a lot of regulars who I'm probably breakeven at best against.

I'd rather find some juicy 200NL games and stack people when I have one pair against their lower pair.

Solid posts, Karl. Good to have you here.

I am not a real "regular" but play about 10K hands/month at PL 100. I noticed you as a solid player at PL 100. Please stay at NL/PL200.

I'm 44 years young and could never play 10 tables for an extended time.

A lot of things you've said hit the point. Most regulars are tough. Tough in the sense that you have to play well to break even against that group. And tough in the sense that you have to share the donks with them.

There's usually tons of 2/4 games running these days. The majority of the regulars are all pretty much terrible as well, although back when I was at 1/2 they were better than me, IMO.
