Building a poker master document
[ QUOTE ]
(2) Something I started about a year ago REALLY has paid off well for me. I have a Master document with three or four sub-Documents on my desktop. The Master is for General play, the subs more specific. [/ QUOTE ] Been wanting too do something similiar to this for a while but never knew where to begin, now seems like a good time to ask. The plan is too print off various posts in the threads(mainly the stickied ones) that have some valuable info in them. I intend to have 2 folders for MTT's and cash(FR). The plan is too divide them into chapters. The problem is i am not sure what order or what i should have chapters on. Mtt's: - Early stages Fairly obvious one, building a stack etc etc. Middle stages - How too play if short stacked, medium stack or as CL. Late Stages/ Final table - Shovements? Misc/general - Blind stealing, guide too 180's, Re-buy MTT's. What am i missing? Cash: - Game selection - what too look for Preflop - Not sure if this is needed, whats hands to play where etc are pretty obvious. I could do with somehing on 3betting as this is something i dont do enough. Post-Flop - C-betting, 3 betting(draws, bluffs, TPTK) basically when it should be done and avoided. Position: - From playing ohamaha i have realised how important it is but i never take advantage of it in NL. someone has a link, or even there own thoughts on optimal in LP post-flop. Misc/Generel: Blind stealing, short-stacking(i look in the forum obviusly) I am sure there is plenty i am missing thats why i posted this. What should i be including? I am sure everyone has there favourite links bookmarked so if you feel it could be useful it would be great if you could post it. I plan on trawling the MTT and shortstack forum for the revelavent stuff but thought i would post here as i am sure plenty of people are experienced in both. Cheers. |

Re: Building a poker master document
So, where is that quote from? If anyone has any similar document, he can share it.
Your idea seems very interesting to me... But I think I can't help too much with any documents, files, posts... |

Re: Building a poker master document
I have a notebook I've been putting together for a similar purpose, mostly with keeper articles and notes from books. I have mine divided into more general categories: odds/theory, no-limit cash games, limit cash games, tournament play, and a final section with misc good uNL reads (a lot of this stuff are some good posts from 2+2, some "poo-bah" posts...)
Its geeky, but its a good reference to skim from time-to-time... A few of my favorites/keepers from 2+2: Pokey on web adjusting from online to live play Cry Me a River's The Bluffing Thread Pokey says "Wait!" djoyce003/Fallen Hero on Reads |
