Re: My first 50K hands
Congrats, and 10k hands a month is still a lot though, I consider myself not really a casual player anymore, and I find it hard to pull of a 20k month 6tabling.

Re: My first 50K hands
Nice graph.
10k a months is actually a good amount imo esp when you consider yourself a "casual" |

Re: My first 50K hands
$600....move up to 25NL. Skip 10NL. The competition is pretty much the same as 10NL. You will be beating $25NL in no time.
I never played 5NL so I can't say what the jump is to 10NL or 25NL, but it can't be all that great. GJ |

[ QUOTE ]
I play NL5 at Party. What happens when a NL5 player finds 2p2 and starts reading NL Holdem- Theory and Practice? Quite obvious. He starts winning 40PTBB/100. Lol. [/ QUOTE ] You're breakeven for 2200 hands, and then make about 400bb in 700 hands... at Party NL5. BBV worthy. |

Re: My first 50K hands
Thanks all for the well wishes. Yes, i play on Pokerstars right now. I've thought about moving about half to FTP because i haven't ever had an account there. I could take advantage of the 100% deposit bonus and perhaps get some rakeback. I do believe i could probably beat 25NL right now, but it's mainly just the bigger swings that i am not comfortable with yet. I know i probably just need to dive in and just practice good BR mngmt if i happen to take a large downswing. Planning to start july at 10NL exclusively and if that goes well i'll start taking some shots at 25NL.
If i had to breakdown my basic thought process for 5NL it would be: 1) Play solid pre-flop. Very tight from EP and a bit looser in position. 2) Cbet alot heads up, but take your medicine in multiway pots if you miss the flop. 3) Value bet your strong hands agressively and don't ever slowplay and RARELY bluff unless you have a solid player read. 4) At this level, just let your opponent tell you what he has by his action and trust your instinct. Villains are pretty transparent most of the time at 5NL. When villain is screaming strength, know when to lay down your TPTK or 2pr and wait for a better spot to stack them. Sometimes you may lay down the best hand to a donk but that's part of staying disciplined and not going broke with marginal holdings. Good luck all. |

Re: My first 50K hands
congrats thesauce
My advice would be to wait before you move up to 25NL to go to fulltilt. The rake at 10NL is doubled there. Also you had better take the full $600 for the deposit bonus. And get rakeback too (take care of it before you sign up) Also you shouldn't wait 5 months to do that though. Move to full tilt as soon as you are comfortable with NL25. There are mad moneys to make just by rakeback and bonus. |

Re: My first 50K hands
Jesus christ, I love this graph. Maybe because I'm playing limit. Too much variance.
Move up. |
