Re: How to proceed vs likey squeezer
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] shoving here is horriblie IMO [/ QUOTE ] could you elaborate? [/ QUOTE ] villain is 20/15 1st off which doesnt mean hes necessarily squeezing light. you are risking 86 to win 22 if you get called you are at best coin flipping because he never calls lighter then 10 10. we fold out some hands but i think if we decide to raise a PS4b does the same thing as a raise AI. [/ QUOTE ] Are you calling if you 4-bet and villain shoves? If so, why not just shove to start with? If not, then just call the 3-bet to start with. |

[/ QUOTE ] no what you dont understand is that your money never goes in ahead here. if called at best you a coin flipping. why push such marginal spots. this isnt a friggin tournament. you can call and play poker. and the times he doesnt have AK, maaaaybe AQs and he calls, he will have JJ-AA and you are behind. so do you now see why shoving is a bluff and YOUR logic is wrong |

Re: How to proceed vs likey squeezer
calling imo is by far the best line.
4bet AI, i agree turns this into a bluff, ak calls but its still just a coinflip, in all -- high variance + TT is -ev vs villain range equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 33.654% 33.45% 00.20% 22911950 138060.00 { TcTd } Hand 1: 66.346% 66.14% 00.20% 45304090 138060.00 { JJ+, AKs, AKo } edit: TT is way behind here, but folding is out of the question. easy call. |

Re: How to proceed vs likey squeezer
Do those in favour of calling have any qualms about letting the button in relatively cheaply? I would.
I don't 4bet shove here, but only because I wouldn't 4bet shove QQ-AA and I'm calling if villain pushes anyway. Villain will probably pay as much respect to a $46 4bet as he would a shove, and itdoesn't turn your hand into a bluff, because you have to call the shove: even if his shoving range is as tight as {JJ+, AK, AKs}, TT still has 34% equity. So two points: 1) I think you have to protect your hand with a 4-bet. TT figures to be good, and by calling you could easily end up against two opponents with really bad relative position. Very often if you call the hand will go down something like this: Button calls behind. Flop comes K84r. SB fires standard c-bet of $30. We have no idea where we stand against either opponent. So 4-bet. Point 2: Don't 4bet all in unless you do that with a variety of hands. If you only 4bet shove with strong but not premium hands you allow observant opponents to play optimally against you in these spots. |
