Not at all. Just about every other pda phones run windows mobile. Pokerstars is meant to run on XP/Vista. So it likely wont install correctly. The iPhone also is quite locked down by apple, so unlikely Stars can make an app for it.

Email pokerstars and maybe they will eventually make a mobile client. Its highly doubtful though.

Question: Where does the iPhone rank in terms of build-up and anticipation out of products from the last 15-20 years or so? Is it ahead (or way ahead) of the various video game consoles?

it's way ahead of any other phone ever.

in recent memory, I would put it behind PS3, though it depends how you're deciding. I don't think there will be as many iphone campers as Ps3 campers. It seems the tech blogs are most intensely interested in the iphone, but that's a product of:

1. some big tech blogs are run by breathless apple fanboys
2. Apple is loath to release any details about their products, so they create an almost artificial interest in their products. Good for them imho.

it's hard to compare the iphone release with say the Super Nintendo release, just b/c of the huge growth of the internet/blogs/reporting of this stuff has changed. The iphone clearly has much bigger hyper than Super Nintendo, but they should give the breadth of media that now exists, and the relative size of the industries now/then.

Id say apples and oranges (pun intended). Every other household in America plays video games however, not that many own smart phones or are interested in them. This has to be the biggest hyped communication device of all time though.

Doubt it, they aren't afraid of giving all their employees one by the end of July so it doesn't look like they are afraid of running out.
