Default Doubles Volleyball Rules Q

Ok, so summer is here, and I tend to play some sandcourt volleyball. Here's a few simple questions about the rules that I've heard debated for doubles.

Hand passing is not permitted on the serve receive or other first contacts??

You can not push the ball over the net?? I've heard it argued that you can provided that you are square with where you are pushing the ball.

I tried to look through the rulebook that I found online, but it couldn't find a section 'banning' these hits.

this might be a home rule or something just because most of the time it will end up being a lift or at least a deep dish. it should be fine though.

This should be true. It must be a strike.

Ok, I took some more time to review things. This is from FIVB

Attack-hit faults
17.2.5 A player completes an attack-hit using an overhand pass, which has a trajectory not perpendicular to the line of the shoulders, except when setting his or her teammate.

A change I didn't know about:
18.4 BLOCKING CONTACT
18.4.1 A blocking contact is counted as a team hit. The blocking team will have only two more hits after a blocking contact.

The hand pass isn't 'banned' according to Cali Beach Volleyball Association, it's just pretty difficult to do cleanly
2. When digging a hard-driven spike it can be double-hit and momentarily lifted. Open hand digs are okay.
3. With the exception of the hard-driven spike or block, you can never double-hit the first contact. If you receive the serve open handed (the serve is never considered a hard-driven spike regardless of its velocity), expect it to be called illegal. The tradition of the beach game does not allow the double hit on the first contact as does the indoor game.
