Is it easier to win profit in 6 max or full ring? I'm hearing that a lot more good players play 6 max then full ring so that cuts out more the profit you can earn in 6 max.
Mods i didn't know were to post this, please move to the right forum if i posted in the wrong place. thanks. |

I think most of the players here started in full ring and moved to 6-max. My answer is definitely 6-max, especially now (low limit full ring is obviously way beatable but it looks like half the players are set-mining). Plus you get more hands.

You can not set mine in limit and expect to win.

6-max is essentially more fun, with optimal VPIP percentages in the 20's versus the teens for full ring. It is more aggresssive, will teach you about full ring if/when you return to it, and is indeed beatable and you get more hands per hour to boot.

Ask this question in a SH forum and you are obviously going to get biased answers!
Not mentioned yet: At small stakes the rake is a MUCH bigger issue shorthanded than 6 max. Be sure to play at a site where the rake schedule isnt steep and where you get rb, bonii and some vip value. Those things can be worth more than a good win rate |
