Default Who\'s Seen \"The Peanut Butter Solution?\"

When my sister and I were little, we both remember watching the most [censored] up movie either of us had ever seen. It's called The Peanut Butter Solution, and the plot is as follows (as well as my memory serves me):

A kid is frightened by some ghosts in his house or something, and subsequently, all of his hair falls out. He does everything he can to get new hair - surgery, wigs, etc - but nothing works.

Until this one night when he's in his kitchen and this old couple (ghosts, I think) appears and tells him that they have a "peanut butter solution" that will make his hair grow back. So they cook up some [censored] in the kitchen that had peanut butter and a bunch of other stuff in it. They paste it on his head, and his hair starts growing back.

Only problem is that it doesn't stop. It keeps growing and growing, freakishly long. Some weird artist kidnaps him and brings him to his studio. He wants to use his hair in paint brushes, so he can paint these magical, living paintings. (Yeah, I don't remember how he figured out the hair is magical.)

Eventually, the hair grows so fast that the kid is strapped down to a gurney and there are a bunch of kids lining both of his sides, cutting his hair as it continues to grow. The creepy borderline pedo artist keeps painting these canvases, and is able to enter them somehow.

At the end, the kid's parents are in an art shop and somehow figure out that their kid's hair is in the paintbrushes.

Okay, so you understand why this movie is so [censored] up. All of those plotlines are from memory, and I don't remember anything else about it.

This is what I do know: Almost nobody has ever heard of this movie, and the people who have (like I) were convinced for a long time that it was just a dream or something. OOT has a pretty good cross-section of contributors. Have you ever heard of The Peanut Butter Solution?

EDIT: Yes, this was marketed as a children's movie.

I don't remember any Savages. Maybe you're thinking of The Boy Who Could Fly?

I've seen it. Enjoyed it as a kid. I seem to recall it being scary, probably unintentionally cause imdb says it is "Comedy/Family/Fantasy". Will have to rewatch.

You can't get it on DVD. I've saw it once, but I think it was just a DVD-R recording from a VHS copy...
