Default Semi freezeout strategy

I'm playing in a live semi-freezeout tonight. buy in is £30+3. If you get knocked out you can buyin one more time. If you haven't used your second £30+3 buyin you can buy an addon at the end of the "rebuy" period.
if you lose your 2nd stack you're out of the tournament.
there are between 10 and 40 players playing.

what's the best strategy for this tournament?

should you always buy the addon/buyin twice?

any other advice? thanks

no. 1 rebuy.

a total max buyin of £60.

i won the tournament btw. 9 players entered and there was a £100 overlay. i won £450. bought in for £60.

i'm still interested to hear thoughts though.

i played supertight in the rebuy period (but was mostly due to a very, very cold deck). i then bought an addon. when it got to 3/4 handed i was the loosest, most aggressive player at the table.
