Re: I have a pair and I hate donks. But is it profitable to hate?
Say he has a hand you want him to have -- a total bluff, a teeny pair, or a straight draw.
Okay, but does he hold any cards higher than 7? Very likely. So you need to raise the flop to protect your hand or charge him for drawing. And if you get three bet, you'll know where you stand. |

Against this type of player I'd just call down. You're ahead of his range on the flop and he'll keep betting with whatever cards he holds. This has the added benefit of not getting pushed off the best hand when he decides to 3-bet his 63o.

I like the turn raise here because villain will fold hands that have enough outs to call you since 9s counterfeit your hand

I like the turn raise here because villain will fold hands that have enough outs to call you since 9s counterfeit your hand [/ QUOTE ] I was about to post that but then I realised that there aren't so many of those hands in his range. He bet the flop and turn for a reason. That reason is most likely a pair or a draw. I don't think he will fold any of those. If he's on a pure bluff with just one card above the J then sure, he might fold, but he's also more than likely to have a pop at the river too. The same is true if he holds an underpair to ours. I don't see much value in the turn raise any more. Guy. |

I like a call down.
If OP just called down are people folding that river, it completed the only straight draw on the board, or do people call the river to see if this is a pocket pair below ours? |

i calldown or raise te flop here.
On turn, i think by raise, vilain fold worse hand than you and 3bet better hand that why i dislike but it s true he can fold hand like 88 but it s not sufficient i think. |
