Suitable bankroll for internet LO/8 games?
Planning on playing 2/4 levels with a roll of 1000$.Is that generally enough to cover downswings in LO8? The variance is lower in split games, I know, so the normal 300bb roll recommended for holdem is smaller when playin LO8, right?
I read from some site that even 50bb would be enough if you're a good player but that sounds kinda too good to be true. |

Re: Suitable bankroll for internet LO/8 games?
Ideally, you need to know your winrate, variance (or standard deviation), and acceptable risk or ruin in order to answer this question.
50BB isn't sufficient though. I've had two 80+ BB downswings in the 10K hands of LO8 I've played; of course I may not qualify as 'good' but 50BB sounds pretty light to me. |

So many variables.
Have you played & been successful online at lower limits? How many tables do you plan to play at once? How many hours a week do you plan to play? How many hands of real money LO8 would you estimate you have played in your life? |

6max versus full whould also have a pretty big difference in my mind as well.
I think 150-200 big bets is plenty for full ring at the 2/4 level if you are solid. probably closer to 300 BB for 6 max (I had a lot of ups and downs when playing 6 max that drove me crazy) *Note: I haven't been playing much since funding became a minor-major pain. |
