Ivey makes 200k golf prop bet with erick
At the 200-400 Ftp Phil Ivey was telling everyone he made a large bet, 200k, with Erick.
Phil Ivey: 200k Phil Ivey: heres the bet Phil Ivey: i bet him he couldn't walk 18 holes 4 times in today and break 100 all for times and he has to do it on one of the most hilliest golf courses in vegas. HitRockBottom1: LOL Phil Ivey: and he has to carry his bag Phil Ivey: he has already done it twice and he just called me and told me he couldn't feel his knees Phil Ivey: lmao HitRockBottom1: haha HitRockBottom1: HAHAH HitRockBottom1: you would bet 200k on that HitRockBottom1: such a balla bet Phil Ivey: i don't care if he wins as long as he gets a little punishment Phil Ivey: i am going over there when he finishes the 3rd round HitRockBottom1: haha HitRockBottom1: where this at HitRockBottom1: tpc? kid holdem: u gonna walk the last round with him, lol? Phil Ivey: don't think he will ko him but i think he will win Phil Ivey: lol Phil Ivey: don't know i empty u Phil Ivey: i don't play as much as i use to Is this a good bet for Phil? Is Erick that good at golf? I know breaking 100 isn't that hard, but 4 times in 1 day? |

Re: Ivey makes 200k golf prop bet with erick
I've done it before. Of course that was 10 years ago. Now I hardly walk for a hot dog on the turn.
I have no idea how good any pro poker player is at golf. I do think that Erick wouldn't take the bet if he didn't think it would be easy for him to break 100 four straight rounds. |

Re: Ivey makes 200k golf prop bet with erick
Four rounds in one day is very hard work.
If you can beat 100 by hitting irons off the tee, it is a bit easier, as you can leave out the woods in the bag, making it lighter. Not a good bet for Erik. There are few golf pros I would think could do it carrying their own bag. Walking more than 24 kilometers, hitting golfballs and still needing to concentrate to get a decent score. I have walked more than 25 kilometers in one day, and I know I would not have been able to even get close to my best game on round 3 and 4. |

[/ QUOTE ] Wouldn't, for instance, carrying a 3W in lieu of a 3I make the bag lighter? I think this would be exceedingly difficult (if not impossible) under normal conditions, but Vegas in June? Forget it. |

Phil mentioned it was a very hilly course too.
I think Phil has the best of it, a very hilly course is not easy to break a 100 for an average golfer in Las Vegas heat. |

This is being tracked in NVG. Seems well on his way to winning.

Re: Ivey makes 200k golf prop bet with erick
I read that titanic thompson bet some guy that he could beat him with a handicap of letting the guy get 3 drives from each tee, to ty's 1. he said that by the 9th hole the guy was exhausted. How exhausting could this really be?
