Re: so is it painfully obvious that this guy has QQQ?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] PF is pretty horrible if you're afraid of one raise when you DO hit your set. What else was your plan when you called with the 3s? To play it slowly for pot control when you hit your set? Folding here is terrible imo [/ QUOTE ] i'm calling because of implied odds hoping he has or hits a hand to pay me off [/ QUOTE ] And you have the implied odds if you're looking for better conditions than this to get your money in on the flop? |

Re: so is it painfully obvious that this guy has QQQ?
i perfectly understand OP. there are these hands where u got such a strong feeling, that ur beat with ur monster but call/shove anyway bc " U HAVE TO". i stack off here 100% of the time but i am unsure if u should not sometimes listen to ur gut...

ahh bull...
Everyone has those "gut" moments that are right time to time but what you don't remember is when you go against these feelings and call anyway only to find your "gut" read was way off. |

And to those of you who simply take the generic view "I have a set in a raised pot with no straight and no flush i don't fold ever" are making a mistake IMO. [/ QUOTE ] And those of you who simply take the generic view "I don't have the nuts and got checkraised so I fold" are making a mistake IMO. |

Re: so is it painfully obvious that this guy has QQQ?
I would like to know why we have to push this flop?
We have position and he will probably shove turn anyway. AKdd is the smallet part in the range and he will hit on turn only 1/5th of the time. By shoving we couldperhaps fold his KQ/KK+. Some of these aren`t likely, but i don`t think it`s worse than pushing, or? |

If you fold your set of 333 here with this action you need to stop playing poker.

I've played AA/KK this way as villain before. Folding is really really bad ...
