Default Any merit to this play

30/60 online 6 handed

Flop is Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I think there's way more merit to checking behind the turn after betting the flop and getting called/raised/etc. Your equity is at worst breakeven on the flop and your position is such that a bet won't ever face the fish with calling 2 cold.

I assume this was a good player who did this, so you're wondering why? I would like to know too.

HU against captain bluffy this would be ok, but three ways you're going to need to bet here. really, what's the worst that could happen?
A bet here has value and makes the hand easier to play.
In general, c-betting every 3 way flop with the lead is good I think.
