Default SunCruz Casinos - Any Experiences?

Hi I'm down in Palm Beach Florida and was given a coupon to take a SunCruz casino cruise w/ meal for free! (Turns out its free to anyone who shows up but whatever. )

Anyhow I was wondering if anyone had any experience going on these cruises, apparently they offer them up and down FL and a couple other states. I would be most interested in Palm Beach Reports but I imagine they are all similar. What I really want to know is if they will have any 2NL tables running and if they are super loose (I imagine they would be on a Friday or Saturday night) and how the rake is (along with anything else). I'd only be willing to bring $200 max.

My buddy plays blackjack so at the very least I figure we could go check it out, eat, gambool it up a bit and get some free drinks or something.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I played on one of these when I was 18 or so in South Carolina and I'll never do it again.
We played 1/2 NL, 11 at the table, and not one person folded the entire time to any sort of raise. From the time I was 18-20ish I only had a handful of losing sessions at the casino and this was one of them. I think I blew through $400 only playing aces and kings and never winning a hand in like four hours or so. Super loose doesn't even begin to describe the play, but such is the case with casino cruises.

I go on the suncruz in Canaveral all the time games are really good on the weekend and now they have lowered the rake and giving lots of promotions to keep the poker players. I highly recommend the sun cruz casinos at least the one in canaveral.

Last time I was in SC, I went out on Sun Cruz. They play 5-10 limit only and 11 handed. Loose does not describe the play, however if you can somehow not get sucked out, or perform magic and suck out, the pots are worth playing for. I did not play poker at all since I don't play limit, but did watch for a little while. Very disturbing watching all the chips in the pots with absolutely no hand at all.

I wrote that I played 1/2 NL, it could have very well been 5/10 limit now that swill mentions it. Now I've confused myself.

Everything swill wrote is 100% true, though.

hmm well if its 5/10 limit then I'm probably better off not playing. I will call the place before I go to see exactly what they will be running. I appreciate the responses however. Judging by everyone's reply and my own imagination I can't see the game not being really good... lets just hope its a game I can afford to play.

How is this a bad thing? Wait for big hand, push all-in and profit.
