OK, now that that's settled ...What about checking behind on the river? Kevin hates it, I'm still thinking betting can only lose money. Thoughts?

I agree with kevin, you will get called by a lot of worse hands if you bet the river.
Its read dependent what they will call with but at t30 ppl will call here with trash like AJ, AT, KQ, QJ, QT fairly often. |

Don't try to be Negreanu in a $6.50.
C-bet the flop, bet the river. |

Why do you think he has AQ or a set?

Why do you think he has AQ or a set? [/ QUOTE ] Aside from my weird feeling he was holding AQ in this hand, on the river I'm not necessarily saying that's what he has, but I'm thinking (at the time anyway) that he's only calling with hands that beat me. He didn't fold the turn, which means he either missed the flush draw or he already had something IMO, of course at this level it also could mean that he still has chips and two cards. But anyway I thought he'd fold a pair of Q's or 2nd pair, fold the busted flush, and call or raise with 2 pr or a set. After some distance, thought, and feedback here though I could see him calling some worse hands like KQ or some other goofy Q holding to stop me from bluffing him out. |

PF is fine, for the love of god bet 1/2-2/3 the pot on the flop. The turn is fine since you didn't bet the flop. You have to bet the river for value.
If you're not betting tptk on the river the way the hand has played out then think of hands that would call the river, maybe a Q, a worse A, or even another paired card (this is a 6.50). Also, limping with AK is absolutely horrible in almost any situation in any stakes sng. You want to raise it to get KQ, KJ, AQ, AJ hands to come along. |

raise preflop is good. You should of C-BET the flop.
based on how you played it, I would of bet the river for value. |
