On the flip side, If you had AJ instead of KJ on this board would a c/r be ok given your opponents tendency to fold rather than call down on a drawless board?

I take it you are refering to the original hand in this post.

No I wouldnt c/r this flop with AJ. The CO and BTN have both shown a fair amount of strength preflop by 3-betting and calling 3 cold. The chances that you will take down the pot with a c/r is too small. When CO 3-bets he is often going to SD as his range is pretty narrow and includes hands that for the most part will call down or 3-bet. With AJ in the original hand I think its a fairly trivial check/fold on the flop
