Default Laptop for poker

Im about to move temporarily and cant bring my PC there. I recently cashed out some winnings and ironically Ive decided to spend it on a laptop to among other things play poker on. Im not up to date at all in terms of which hardware to get. I've been looking at Sony Vaio and Dell machines especially. ACER is pretty much out of the picture, its just too much negative critique on those machines. What Im looking for specificaly is a solid machine with a decent battery life. A good monitor is key ofcourse. I wont be playing any demanding fps games and such. Dont get me wrong, Im not looking for the budget alternatives, I just dont want to pay for more than I can possibly have any use for. Any suggestions are welcome.
