PS 6.50\'s KK Early Line Check - First Post
Hi been lurking religously on these forums for last month and reading all the STT posts and just thinking about them has helped me improve my game heaps. I play the 6.50s on stars and have racked up about 400/500 games in my first month and doing well with decent ROI. I'm still trying to grasp ICM properly in different situations and I try to review all my games in SNG Wiz. So yea hope to improve more by posting some stuff.
Anyway, this hand came up early on. No reads, all players in the pot are unknowns. Should I have re-raised more PF to thin out the field? Main query is whether I should have just shoved the flop. Any comments be appreciated. Thanks. Raise a little more pf, you need to then bet a lot more on the flop, like 3/4 or a pot sized bet, since u have so many opponents, and a draw-heavy board.

make it 200 preflop, bet 350 or more on the flop, turn is fine.

Bet more on the flop. Make they pay for draws(they will).

Re: PS 6.50\'s KK Early Line Check - First Post
It's better to have no callers or just 1 who got bad odds than this many when giving them great odds. When you see how many call it's obvious you could have bet a lot more and get callers. It's not like you need to quadruple here.
Always remember you should only slowplay when it makes you more money in the long run, here it certainly doesn't. |

Re: PS 6.50\'s KK Early Line Check - First Post
240 preflop...a lot closer to pot on the flop so jamming the turn will be no issue.
rule of thumb with your big hands at low buy ins: the goal of your big hands is to play big pots. Since the players are bad, they will call bigger bets if you just bet more....so get the most value out of your big hands by betting more. if i knew i could get paid by just open jamming flops with the nuts, i would do that...same idea here...if you can get more value out of your big hands by betting more, do it. |
