Default 50 nl butchered AQ hand need a better line

Felt like I played this hand horribly. There are many better lines I'm sure but it seems like a very awkward spot.

Villain is 40/10 after only 20 hands and had a very low aggression factor.

Maybe I was too hard on myself for letting the free card come on the river. Is controlling the size of the pot more important than preventing a club coming 20% of the time?

But you may already be beat, also. Villain can play a set or made flush the same way.

CO checks, Hero bets $14, CO calls $14

River: ($51.25) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
CO bets $25.00, Hero ???

Or even,

CO checks, Hero bets $25, CO bets $50, Hero ???

I'm not advocating MUBS here or saying you are beat on the turn. But in position you can check behind on the turn and still get out of the way of the 4-flush or put in a value bet on a safe card.

$0.02
