Here is the way I stay motivated while 12-tabling 100NL on FT: I just tell myself that I'm making $14/hr in RB all the time. This ends up being about 5800 hands/day and nets me $100/day in RB. While this may be a little extreme for a casual player, you might be able to spin it around to be a motivating factor for you as well.

as to the OP, I try to play 10k hands, but very rarely do
I average over 5k per day for 20 'working' days out of the month, which is nice.

im happy if i get 2000, whats up with the mind getting tired ?
i can play 6k hands straight 12 tabling and my mind is fine. (I do get burned out if I have played too much in a long period of time but thats just getting sick of the game and then its break time)

But I cant start a session and quit it for anything if im not satisfied with the result, only quit by force if I really tilt. It means huge losing days when they come but I have had only 2 in 2 months. and thats a sick record
