Re: 10NL QQ yucky turn
Well what can you beat? (a draw, pair of 6s and 4s, 7s-Ks and a bluff)
You raised pre-flop. He called you. The flop was 2 4 6. You bet and he called. The turn was a nasty card for you. An ace. He was probably calling you with A-3 or A-5. With an inside straightdraw and made hes ace. Maybe he held 3 5 and was slowplaying. Now the ace hit and he thought that it helped you cause you raised preflop. He led out, you were in charge of the hand so far and now he leds out? He must have something there. The problem here is if im calling here do I have to call another one on the river? Pot odds are 5.25/2 thats like 2.62/1. You might already be drawing dead. I'd fold. |

Re: 10NL QQ yucky turn
A read on your opponent is important here - his betting out at at less that 2/3rds pot can mean a couple of things IMO. 1) He is trying to price his flush draw 2) he just hit an ace with whatever draw he had but its a weak ace 3) he is now worried about his overpair (under Q's) and wants to see where he is 4) he has the nuts and wants you to raise.
The bet size leads me to believe 1 and 3. Raise or fold - I think it's close. Oh and bet full pot on that flop... |
