Yeah lol at the surfdouble. But I love his bad mumbly acting. Compare it to the screechy whining overacting of that kid in star wars, and those are your kid-acting options usually.

This show has no chance in my opinion, which sucks cuz I'd love to see where it's going, particularly with John: Alien, Prophet, or what?

I don't see HBO canceling the show after one season given they are devoid of shows now that Sopranos/Deadwood is gone and Entourage is losing its luster.

Damn. I'm not digging this show at all. I will give it a few more episodes out of respect for HBO and their track record of top notch programming. I'm not convinced I'm going to be able to ride this one out though. Bummer

I really liked the first two episodes, but the third was a little lame. I'll still watch every week because it's got potential.

The problem is the acting just seems... really bad. Not all of it (Ed Harris is phenomenal), but Shaun and Kai (or however you spell it) or bad to the point of distraction. And I think Luke Perry's bitch is damn annoying, too.

I liked the third if only because of the Dr and his role in the plot...he also made Butchie kind of stop and think about what all is going on(god/supernatural/etc)

Luke Perry's bitch is annoying but I find her incredibly hot eventhough she really isn't that good looking...not sure why

What is their deal though..they are obviously after something more than simply signing the young Yost to some kind of pro surfing deal.

Yeah the Doc was cool.

re: Perry's bitch. She's attractive when she smiles, but she does have a weird mouth. Her talking rhythm is just off putting to me.

I can't quite figure out what they're up to. Something along the lines of taking Mitch out of the picture/getting Shawn to rebel against him. I dunno.

That's my theory too. Get him out, b/c the grandma is much more likely to let the kid sign a deal and compete. Only thing I can come up with.

Just got done watching episode #3 and agree that Ed O'neil is awesome in this show.

Also "We're on the precipice of a clusterfuck." might be the funniest quote ever from a tv show.
