I'm pretty sure many players started that young. I was playing on Pokerroom I think when I was 15 and definitley 16, unfortunatley I hadn't been introduced to 2+2 until somewhat recently so I couldn't have the opportunities of starting out like he would. With that said I don't promote underage gambling... GO FOR IT!

here's what I prepose.

1) we get together a $120 bankroll for the kid, to be used at the $1.20's. It's a gift, a trade for the other conditions. It's not a backing deal, we never wan't it back. Playing for money is stressful enough without the worry of playing for someone elses money. so, it's his money, period.

2) He posts at least 2 hands for each day he plays, properly converted and pretty, and we do what we do on this forum. As I play pretty much unlike everyone else, I'll help by mostly staying quiet, per usual.

3) he posts one raw entire HH a week, for us to pick apart.

4) he provides weekly updates, well writen, thought out and honest, on how it's going. Kinda like these

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=0#Post10928190

5) stays at the $1.20's until you have at least 100 buyins for the next level.

so, think it over kid, and let us know. If you agree, and nobody wants any major revisions, then you will need to make a real money account on stars (I'm staying out of the whole name thing, whatever you guys want). I haven't done that in a very long time, but I can't imagine it can't be done. That accomplished, we stock it with the $120, and were off.

I ask that you do a few things. 1) List everything I 'ought to know about the $1.20s before I dive head first into 'em; including, but not limited to, key skills to have, what I will run into, level of difficulty

[/ QUOTE ]

honestly kid, just pay attention, play tight early, learn the basics of pushing late when the blinds get big reletive to your stack, and you should hold your own while you learn. If you play sober and don't surf porn while playing, you will be ahead of your averege opponent at that level imho.

fraz8000, I understand and respect what your saying. What can I say, where a bunch of gamblers. this will be fun for us and educational for the kid.

i love how this forum is such a place where someone like this will come up and everyone agrees to stake them, wickss has

[/ QUOTE ]

Hey I was the banker for the wickss deal and we all made pretty decent return on our bucks. Not major dollars mind you but like a $25 share was returned for like $39 (god I already forget...)

I'll be happy to toss in a few $$ to get this kid started.

[/ QUOTE ]your numbers are correct my friend. 39.26 to be exact.

this thread is the best thing ever. i think he was just experienced as being a taxi driver but now he plays poker full time its awesome. 2+2 loaded on the sarcasm but ended up genuinely supporting the guy.

[/ QUOTE ]ahhhhh the good ole days. that was a good thread huh? wickss bankroll is up to 3,000 from 450 when we began the now legendary "going pro" thread. things are going quite swimmingly. next stop: WSOP '08. end hijack now. have a nice day.

lacky - I comply with all that you've proposed. I agree to post 2 converted hand histories a day, one entire raw HH a week,& well-written, thought out & honest updates daily and/or weekly. As far as learning goes, Derk has been helping me out as far as SnG basics go & has linked me to articles of SnGPlanet. By the time this is underway, I believe I'll be semi-confident in what I've learned. Anyways, I believe I am ready for this.

P.S. - I do not mind you calling me kid.
P.P.S - I'm open for usernames. They can be as crude, as humorous, as belittling as you'd like.. it's entirely up to you (those staking me).

If this thing gets started and you want to, I might observe your games from time to time.
I play the 11$ at party, which obv got even-skilled opponents like the 1.20$ at stars. ^_^
